How Spinal Adjustments Relieve Chronic and Acute Back Pain

The only thing more challenging than chronic and acute back pain is trying to find pain management options that work for you. At Rock Chiropractic, serving Parker, CO, and the surrounding areas, we can help. Keep reading to learn how spinal adjustments can relieve your back pain.

What Causes Back Pain?

Back pain can be caused by many different factors. Pain can originate in the muscles, joints, vertebrae, or nerves. The important thing is to get an accurate diagnosis and pain management plan in place so that you can find lasting relief from chronic back pain.

What Is Spinal Adjustment?

Most back pain issues are foundationally a problem with alignment. When a vertebra of the spine is out of alignment, it will cause additional pressure on the surrounding muscles and joints.

Our chiropractor is trained to perform chiropractic adjustments, also referred to as spinal adjustments. During an adjustment, our chiropractor applies strategically placed pressure and manual manipulation to the spine. This gently moves vertebrae of the spine back into proper alignment. In many cases, adjustments alone can relieve acute pain. If further treatment is needed, you and our chiropractor can discuss other treatment options that can be added to your adjustments.

Other treatment options can include decompression therapy, massage therapy, hot/cold therapy, and cold laser therapy. All of these methods have the same goal: relieve your acute pain in an all-natural way.

At our facility, we also offer a pediatric chiropractor to assist children with back pain issues.
